Pentagon launches GenAI.mil powered by Google Gemini for military and civilian staff

Pentagon rolled out GenAI.mil as a new AI platform built only for military and civilian workers, and it runs on Google Gemini. The launch was revealed in a video shared on Tuesday, where Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the system is meant to give U.S. personnel direct access to artificial intelligence tools to help, in his words, “revolutionize the way we win.” Pete said, “The future of American warfare is here, and it’s spelled AI.” He followed that by warning that rivals are also moving fast with new tech, adding, “As technologies advance, so do our adversaries.
